I am intrigued by the interplay of the real and the unreal. My pieces deal with the ambiguity of what we call reality. Working in black and white helps to explore the mystery of that ambiguity. During the process of creating my work, the imaginative is as tangible to me as physical reality. Dream or thought, it has as much substance as the cherry tree behind my garage. When I am composing my images, the lines separating the past, present and future are blurred as they dissolve into one.
