Dixie Twins

They say that if you want to get a cat, put a bowl of food at your back door. My eccentric next door neighbor managed to attract all of the strays along Dixie Highway, but unfortunately she didn't take care of them after she fed them. A litter of white kittens appeared, and they loved to play in the crotons in my front yard. They were very entertaining, but I felt sorry for them. Our house cat and geriatric dog weren't keen on having new companions, so when the kittens got old enough, I was going to turn them over to pet rescue. The very day I was going to round them up and take them to the vet for shots, they disappeared. I hope my neighbor found them homes, but I never did ask her.
