This black tuxedo cat would hang out with me when I worked in my garden in Kensington, California. She was kind of raggedy, so despite the protests from my house cats, I started feeding her. I called her my little raisin in the sun, and the name Raisin stuck. Except that this little cat was so friendly that my nextdoor neighbor called her Katmandu, and the lady down the street called her Felix. There was yet another neighbor, whom I never met, who called me after I put a tag on Raisin, to let me know she was glad to find out that Raisin had a home, and that she had considered taking her in as well! When I was moving away, the woman who called this cat "Felix" came over and asked me if she could have the cat. I was happy to oblige, and Ripley was glad that I did!
