Art in Vienna:
Michael Fuchs at 50: A Retrospective

ALL RIGHTS RESERVEDA follow up on a season of Vernissage (gallery openings) in Vienna and surrounding areas: Art is afoot, everywhere. As the temperature drops from 30+ deg. to 10 deg. and less, the culture vanishes into the indoors, to delight on the visual image. Society responds to the art and parties around the rich displays.
For his fiftieth birthday, Michael Fuchs got an exhibit at the Klosterneuburg Stadtmuseum. It is an extensive exhibit of 152 works, a near retrospective, filling about four large rooms. Large giclées dominate the show and seem to get a generally warm reception. Prices for the giclées hovered about 400 EU and came in just under the limited edition color etchings, which were about 700 EU on average.
